Diving Deeper into God’s Word

Diving Deeper is a hands-on workshop teaching how to study God’s Word. Rhonda uses the Inductive Bible Study method and teaches skills within that framework to develop and sharpen your Bible study skills. As you learn new skills, Rhonda will give you guided practice using the skills presented. This conference includes teaching materials and resources that can be used by attendees as they put their skills to work beyond the conference.

  • We begin the day answering some questions about Bible Study and laying the foundation for the workshop.

  • We begin our first step in our Bible study method: Observation. In this session we dig into why knowing the genre, author, and recipients are important in our study. We also take a deep look at interrogating the text.

  • We continue in our Observation process with techniques that will prepare us for our next step in diving into Scripture.

  • Now that we have spent time observing the text it is time for our next step: Interpretation. In this session we learn how to really dig out the meaning of the text with several helpful techniques including context and word studies.

  • In our last session we finish up our interpretation of the text and move on to the critical step of Application. How do we take the truths of our passage and apply it to our lives in the modern age?
